After graduating from Cambridge University in 1975 Robert returned to Skipton where he qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and has been at Walker Foster ever since.
He specialises in all matters relating to Wills, Probate, Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax. He also deals with most of the many agricultural issues which frequently crop up in the Skipton area.
When out of the office, his principal interest is in British and European modern railway operation. It was from Robert that in 2001 came the original suggestion of a new high-speed line between London/the Midlands and Scotland via West Yorkshire and Teesside/Tyneside. The concept - and his specific route - is slowly gathering acceptance.
