Guy specialises in probate and inheritance disputes and is a full member of the Association of Contentious Trusts & Probate Specialists ('ACTAPS') with a background in will drafting, probate and non contentious private client work and litigation.

Guy qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and has primarily worked in civil litigation  for firms based in the north west and Yorkshire.

 

From 2017 he diversified in will drafting, probate and non contentious private client work and worked as a Partner for a high street firm before managing a claims department.  Since 2019 he has worked exclusively in contentious probate and has amassed a great deal of experience in will validity challenges, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, administration actions, executor disputes, trust actions including Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 ('ToLATA') claims, Court of Protection disputes as well as alternative dispute resolution including mediation.

 

In 2023 he was appointed a full member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists ('ACTAPS') and has delivered training in this area.

 

Guy brings a great deal of litigation experience to his role and is a skilled advocate for his clients.

 

In his spare time he likes to spend time with his young family, and enjoys mountain biking and fell running.
